BRAC is a non-governmental development organization dedicated to alleviating poverty by empowering the poor to bring about change in their own lives. Started in Bangladesh in 1972, it focuses on work with poor women, who are the worst affected by poverty.

  • Anita is a strategic partner to Global Horizons for Women, and liaison for Susan and the various team members
  • Anita was part of the original vision meetings for the overall branding and website of GH4W, and continues to walk alongside Susan, as she explores opportunities for growth.
  • Anita's company has facilitated strategic planning, branding and design for GH4W, in addition to development and ongoing initiatives.

Owner of Girl Meets Geek - Kate is the perfect partner for the GH4W social and external communication needs.

  • Kate has done an incredible job of outlining the different opportunities for GH4W to reach both community and world through media and communication in print and/or speaking opportunities.
  • Kate has been working to outline the communications and event calendar, and has spent numerous hours training and cheerleading each of us, in addition to our intern, Raquel.
  • Kate manages each campaign and presents additional opportunities to gain continuous visibility.
  • Kate is a valuable asset to GH4W, by consistently making GH4W leadership aware of opportunities to gain exposure.

Raquel has been a hidden gem to GH4W. She comes to us as a graduate of Communication from the University of MN, and eager to gain experience and build relationships.

  • Raquel moved, with her family, to MN from the Dominican Republic, approximately 9 years. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Raquel brings the innocence and energy of her youth to the table, along with great wisdom, from her diverse multi-cultural background.
  • Raquel works side-by-side with Kate, assisting in all things "communication" for GH4W.
  • A shining star who is eagar to learn and contribute, we are excited to watch Raquel continue to grow and expand her engagement within the GH4W organization.
